HI, I’M GRAHAM.
I’m currently a Creative Director/Copywriter at The Martin Agency.
I was born and raised in Venice, California, spending my formative years with a ball or a book in my hand (both would come in handy later). After early stints in sports journalism and coaching high school baseball, I found my calling in advertising. Now, I’m a Creative Director specializing in culture-driving work in the world of sports and beyond. Throughout my career, I’ve won over 30 international awards for brands like Nike, Beats by Dre, Netflix, and Buffalo Wild Wings.
WHERE I’VE BEEN
2021-Present The Martin Agency: Creative Director
Whether it’s multi-million dollar TV campaigns, brand refreshes, buzzy activations, or organic social, my main focus at Martin has been helping under the radar brands break through. Highlights include the Grand Clio-winning activation The Overtime Deal and Sauce Gardner partnership for Buffalo Wild Wings, a new brand campaign (and very important invention) for Icy Hot, an unexpected film promo for Spinal Tap II, and a record-setting NIL deal with a 58-year-old college football player that the New York Times called “The most clever of the season.”
2014-2021 AKQA: Associate Creative Director/Senior Copywriter
A true international experience, where I was based out of New York but frequently collaborated with incredibly talented colleagues in Sao Paulo, London, Paris, and Tokyo. Highlights include winning Beats by Dre, working on Netflix’s first ever brand campaign, inventing an award-winning children’s reading product, and winning Cannes Young Lions for the second time.
2012-2014 Grupo Gallegs: Copywriter
I was fortunate to get my start learning from some of the most brilliant Latin American creatives in the U.S., pitching Got Milk? ideas to Jeff Goodby, and creating a film that won Cannes Young Lions.
Recognition
My work has been featured in Complex, ESPN, Fast Company, Hypebeast, The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, The Today Show, and The Wall Street Journal.
It’s also been recognized by nearly every international advertising awards show, including Cannes Lions, Clios, D&AD, Effies, The One Show, and The Webby’s.
I have been recognized as one of Ad Age’s Creatives To Watch, and have served on juries for Cannes Young Lions, Cannes Future Lions, Clio Health, D&AD New Blood, and the New York Festivals.
